    TV Tuner Option No Longer Available?

    I was just going to purchase a dv7t and noticed that the TV Tuner option is default to no TV Tuner, and there is no other option. Just yesterday it was available. What's the deal? This is spread out across the Intel and AMD versions of the dv5 and dv7.

    o that sucks, i didnt even notice that.... they just shipped mine with the tuner yesterday... maybe they put the last tuner in mine...? LOLOL

    i think this is across the board -i just noticed when you customize a dv5t, same thing - the tuner is not listed there. that sucks as this was one of the reasons i went so crazy on my specs. i wanted to be able to record tv on my laptop and be able to watch it from a couple of feet away via the 17" screen....

    i ordered on aug 12th at 11am and it was shipped yesterday, aug 19th. their estimated ship date was the 21st.

    the tuner option was on the website up until last night. i know because right before i went to bed, around midnite/12:30, i optioned out a dv5t which had the tuner, and the cost was like 1549. when i checked that build this morning (i saved it into my cart), it was $100 less and when i saw this thread, i double checked the options, and the no tv tuner was the only option showing, thus the $100 reduction in price from the night before.

    HP is making me angry, I want to order with that $400 dollar coupon off (if even still valid) and the TV tuner option isn't avaialable.

    if you want, use that to your advantage. give them the coupon that you have and also tell them that you want the tuner or some more $ off your laptop. that way, you can get a usb tuner (if you're willing to do that)

    just an idea.

    They are probably just experiencing some type of shortage. To prevent a delay in orders they had to take appropriate action.

    And as far as I know that coupon will expire today (August 20th).
