So I bought a 240GB Vertex 3 in anticipation for the non-existent Envy 14 Refresh, but decided to stick it in my crap TX2000z while I wait for a laptop that is worth my money.

CANNOT get this thing to work. Verified it works on every computer known to man except mine. Loads XP Pro x64, Vista x86, Vista x64, Win7 x64 Pro on anything I stick it in.

I've read of people putting ssd's in these things and apparently not having any issues. It's apparently an NForce 430 chipset which doesn't support AHCI so no sense wasting your time telling me to set it to AHCI in the BIOS. The BIOS is very limited aka can't do a thing but change boot order.

I tried loading drivers in the setup, nothing. I tried installing an OS on it via another machine, put it in mine, gets to the Windows load screen sometimes and instant BSOD/reset...sometimes doesn't even do that. BIOS doesn't recognize it all anyway...Any ideas?

*Forgot to add, Vertex 3 FW is 2.02...too many bad reviews on latest so I'll stick with this for now...
