    Been trying for days.

My pen accuracy varies across the screen. Some place is perfectly adjusted and some other bring the pointer 1/2 cm off (or more)

I was running the OEM Vista OS and tried calibrating, tapped the cross exactly in the middle and saved. But still random accuracy.

I installed Windows 7 and use the 8 point calibration tool (control panel) and noticed that the top right corner could not be hit unless I bring the pen a bit on the inside, same to the bottom left. FYI in Windows 7 the cross calibrating point are almost touching the corners while in Vista, it is more spaced out.

Please let me know if your TX2x00 has the same behavior in corners. Is your pen 100% accurate after calibration ?

Yeah, the pen is not going to be 100% accurate in the corners and there will be some mis calibration but as long as the calibration is more or less accurate near the center or much of the screen then your screen/pen is working correctly.
