Does anyone have the TX2500 and the 8-cell battery? If so, does it raise the back end of the laptop at all? And how much extra weight is it?

    Thanks

I have it. It raises it about 5/8" -3/4". As for additional weight, figure about a few onces over the standard battery. It's great when on your desk because it allows better airflow. The air intake is the bottom of the unit. And since the unit runs hot, the more air the better.

Thanks for the info (+1 rep). Do you know if it will fit into a sleeve comfortably with the 8-cell battery?

Yep. I got the sleeve also at the time of purchase. Sleeve is neoprene so it stretches. Not that it needs to with the 8 cell.

Is there enough space to squeeze in the charger as well?

I had to try to find out. Yep fits well. Best if you store the charger on the underside when you slip it in. sort of evens out the battery bump. Still doesn't need to stretch to fit.

Would have been nice if the sleeve had an inner pocket. But since it's reversible, I guess it'd look funny when you flipped it inside out.
