Hello.
This is my first post herei hope this is the good place to post my problem.
I have a new HP Pavilion TX2524CA.
My first laptop (tablet pc)but i have a problem.
CPU temperature is very high.
I checked some tutorials, and i changed the power profile to limit the CPU at 40% and now is a little better but still not good enough.
Current temperature in VISTA in idle is like 53 C but if i do something else... watch a DVD for example is going to 62 C and sometime ... more.
I saw the undervolting guide but, i snot working for my CPU (Turion X2 RM-70)... is not recognized by RMClock so, i can't do any settings.
I tried to install linux (Linux Mint) but i wasn't able because after ACPI detected the temperature (67 C) less than one minute after i booted from the live CD, it turned off my laptop.
I tried to see if i have some settings in BIOS to change the voltage but nothing.
If i use a different power profile sometime the temperature is 75 C and i only browse web pages.
When i started the CPU Benchmark (from the undervolting tutorial) the temperature was at one point 92 C.
Is anything i can do to make it run with lower temperature?
Or, it's supposed to be like this?
I have a friend with a Vostro 1500 laptop and in idle he have like 46 C.
Thank you.

Look for the AMD Power Monitor Linux Version.

I have very little experience with Linux. I dunno if it will help you, but it's worth a try.
