    Hi there,

Do you know if it's possible somehow to set charging threshold on Pavilion series laptops, so that the battery is charged e.g. to 50% maximum? It's a solution widely used in Sony Vaio laptops. I've looked in BIOS, but couldn't find this function.

If not, is it ok to (dis) charge battery to 50%, remove it from the laptop and to repeat the same procedure after 6 months or so?

The reason I'm asking is that I'm using my HP as a desktop replacement and it's plugged in almost all the time and I wouldn't like to damage the battery too fast.

    Thanks in advance! ;)
