Occasionally, the tapping function on the touch pad would stop working. The only way I know to get it to work again is to either restart the computer, or go to control panel>mouse, uncheck the tapping box and recheck it again, click apply, and then okay. Can this problem be solved by updating the driver? My computer is a HP dv2700t that is around 17 days old. I did a clean install of Vista 64 home premium right when I got it, so I had to reinstall all the drivers downloaded from the HP support site. Control panel says the mouse stuff I use is from Alps. Help please? Also, could this problem be caused by the 64-bit system, if so, do you think I could do a reinstall of the 32-bit system?

try reinstalling the drivers

shoelace_510 8700M GT inside... ^-^;
If that doesn't work I would check the HP site to see if they have a driver update for your touchpad...

i get the same problem, particularly after watching sites that use flash player for streaming video. I use the same solution you do (control panel).

I used device manager to check for update, but it says it's already the most recent software. I then went to HP driver page, it lists two drivers, which one do I download?
