    Hi,

I've had quite the ordeal trying to get my nice new Envy 14 with Radiance Display, but I won't bore with the details since they are so similar to many others in the canceled thread.

Anyway, I have since ordered 1 i5 from HP and 1 i7 w/radiance on ebay (refurb). I think I'd rather have an i5 with radiance, due to the i7 battery drain (I didn't find the weath of information that is this forum until after ordering).

I'd like to trade my new Envy 14 with SSD (spec'd out below) for an Envy 14 with i5 (preferably 580), and 4GB 1Dimm or better. I'd much prefer to trade in person - so if you are in or around NYC, Miami or Texas, that would be ideal (i'll be in all 3 at some point this month).

This computer is expected to be delivered by Monday:
HP ENVY 14 customizable Notebook PC
    • Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
    • Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-560M Dual Core Processor (2.66 GHz, 3MB L3 Cache) with Turbo Boost up to 3.2GHz
    • 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon(TM) HD 5650 switchable graphics [HDMI] - For Dual Core Processors
    • 6GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm)
    • 256GB (Solid State Drive Flash Module)
    • No Additional Office Software
    • 8 Cell Lithium Ion Battery (standard) - Up to 6.0 hours of battery life +++
    • 14.5" diagonal High Definition HP BrightView Infinity LED Display (1366x768)
    • SuperMulti 8X DVD+/-R/RW with Double Layer Support
    • HP TrueVision HD Webcam and Dual Digital Integrated Microphones
    • Intel Wireless-N Card with Bluetooth
    • Backlit Keyboard
    • Adobe(R) Photoshop(R) Elements 8 & Adobe Premiere(R) Elements 8

    Thanks!

Seems to me, it's a lot easier to do the following:

    1. Swap the screen.
    2. Sell the SSD separately.
    3. Sell then Envy i7.

Since you have both screens. Can you do some screen shot comparison for the rest of us? Assuming the items are both open. High quality shots and close ups would be well appreciated by all members I am sure. I was planning on doing it with my T1i, but mine got cancelled :-(
