    The Audio is not working after downgrading Vista to XP

    Hi everyone!!


    I downgraded my HP DV6000 to XP pro SP2

    everything is working wonderful but the Audio is NOT

    when I install the driver, an error message " Driver Installation Failded: Could not find the MEDIA device for this driver"

    and there is unknown device the id of the unknown device is

    AXPI\HPQ60006\4&38462492&0

    I installed all the drivers but I dont know what is the problem

    this question seems to come up quite often now. so have you installed the microsoft uaa driver ? it´s needed to get the hd audio working under win xp.

    about the unknown device, could be the quicklaunch buttons. try installing the software for the quicklaunch buttons.

    Is it a dv6000z/t or is it a newer dv6xxx?

    yes I installed microsoft UAA driver

    and Its ( Pavilion DV6000) Vista based

    Its never recommended to downgrade from the original OS... driver support is the #1 issue 100% of the time.
