    Hi,

    can anyone help me. i have tried everything under the sun. hp tech support wasnt any help either.

    error "The HDA Audio bus driver is required and not found"

    The problem started when i installed a fresh copy of XP. could have something to do with the xp version i have installed.

    i have tried all the hotfixes. please please can somebody help me.

    Did you try the KB835221 UAA High Definiton class driver?

    "KB835221.exe" in google yields a few blogs that host the file

    yeah. i have already tried KB835221.exe.. still doesnt work. i am lost.

    fixed it. woohoo, i i found out that sometimes they dont install properly. went into device manager found PCI had a yellow question mark. clicked update driver. then i won. cheers
