    Well the order is down and the waiting game now starts.

    What do you guys think about the EV268AA model with T2400, 1 gig of 533MHz ram, WSXGA+ BrightView Display, 100GB at 5400RPM and Bluetooth for the price of $2040 CAD which includes tax, shipping, etc?

    It would be nice to have a nx9420/nw9440 thread start up again because I truly believe that these HP Compaq notebooks are really nice. If anyone is curious about CPU upgrade, on August 15th, a BIOS update will be released to support "New Intel CPUs". I couldn't find out if they are indeed the Merom chips but I have high hopes that it is according to the timing of the release. With a few upgrades, this machine should be able to last quite awhile...

    you can always write a review of it to share your love =). i think that people are quite hesitant about buying a product if they can't see someone's opinions of it.

    Well I posted this link in my other thread that seems to have died down so here it is again.

    It is slated for release on August 15th so it is not out as of now. Seems to be around the same time when the new CPU's come out so hopefully it's for the Merom.

    ejl, I'll try to get review if I have the time. It seems that most parts for the nx9420 are interchangeable with the nw9440 but it may void the warranty so that might be in my future plans...
