    1. dv6000t provide an interagted webcam, e1505 dont
    2. dv6000t provide matte screen, e1505 dont

so I get dv6000t..................not cuz of cpu, ram, hd or video card....just these two small details.....

And that's just two reasons why the dv6000t is more popular than the e1505 right now. It's also better looking by far.

I have a DV6000T right now with BrightView screen, where can I can go see a Matte screen in person?

A lot of stores only have the BrightView

I have never seen a matte screen in the store. Take away all the glare and reflection on your screen, remove the oversaturation, and unrealistic contrast and you have the matte screen.

also, I believe the build quality is vastly better with the dv6000. My friend has the dell and when I pick it up from the corner you can see the whole thing bend and the sound it produces is a horrible creaking like the thing is screaming in pain. However when I pick up my dv6000t from the corner there is little flex and no horrible creaking sound.

The HP is also lighter and thinner. I only wish that HP went with WSXGA+ as an option for their 15.4" DV6000ts... I know that they do for the NC8430s... so why can't they do it for their DV6000ts =[...

My current laptop does not, but when my new rig arrives (Thursday, the anticipation is killing me, I love new toys) it will have a matte screen. I had origionally thought the glossy would be cool, because shiny is always cool, but after having it for about a week the novelty wore off. Trying to use it in the car, or outdoors, or on my couch (before noon the sunlight comes in right behind my couch and the pool reflections on the cieling are horrible in the screen) is difficult and tiring.

I see, let me know how you like the Matte screen.

I'm probably going to give my 6000T to my bro and get another one with the Matte screen, I'm just scared to take the plunge.

I feel the Matte is outdated now and the BrightView is the way to go, but you're right, during the day, the glare from the sun is really annoying.

I'm also worried everything won't look as crisp as it does on the BrightView, but this is also because my previous Sony Laptop was like 4 years ago, so this is the only laptop I have to compare to it.

Let me know your thoughts on the whole BrightView vs Matte, thanks man.

I've owned several screens of both types, and I personally prefer matte. The glossy screens are really nice, but only in the right lighting. I'm almost never in those ideal conditions.

I really liked my e1505 but the x1400 just didn't have enough soup to drive the WSXGA+ - maybe thats why Dell dropped back to WXGA+ on the recent e1505's. And, I guess I have more money than smarts, I'm just a day or so away from pulling the trigger on a dv6000. That dv6000 review about the $798 system from Wally World is very tempting.

Well I am typing this on the new rig, and I have to say I like the matte screen so much better. It is less fatiguing then the glossy screen. The image quality is better then my old lappy (dell). The colors are not as saturated, which leaves them very natural in overall appearance. The glossy was like someone had "chrome" on their camera. It is very nice to view it in the shop under the flouresent lighting. It seems like it is crisp enough, thus far... but I have only done my setup and a bit of browsing. I'll do some DVD work tonight and let you know how it does with film and the like.

Hey, Sandt38, don't forget to take a minute out from playing with your new rig and change your sig. You're no longer "anxiously awaiting it's arrival". :D

I would like to add that I love my glossy screen on my dv5000t, ;) I only really use it indoors, though. Dorm room...library...etc.
