    Hi guys

    First, sorry for my bad english. Im from spain and need to improve it.

    I have two notebooks in mind:

    - Asus. i5, gt540m 2gb ddr3 --> 549€

    - HP. i3, 6770 1gb ddr5 --> 599€

    I wanted to buy the Asus but i didnt know the HP, so I would like to know which of both is better for gaming.

    I know 6770 is better than gt540, and the differences between i3 and i5 are minimals, are not?

    I will use the computer for working (office and internet) and gaming (bf3, mw3, crysis, assasins creed, fifa12, f1, gta4, etc.)

    Could I play this games?

    I saw on youtube that the Asus can run it, but i cant find DV6 i3 6770 gaming videos.

    And finally, has this notebook throttling problems?

    Thanks you !

    I say both can play those game u've listed but some games requires better CPU to run it smoothly like Crysis/Crysis 2, BF3(MP), GTA4(i think).

    The HD6770M would be 30%-40% faster imo.. if the HP with i3 come with 120w power brick u probably have good headroom to overclock the GPU. If it come with 90w tho.. i'm not sure.

    if u can't wait anymore, i think the HP will perform better when gaming. install an SSD to increase overall performance. :)

    hi xAcid9

    Asus N55SF/N45SF.... 1000€. Can't spend it.

    The i5/i7 version... Yes, but the problem is that i only have 600€, which is exactly what it cost hp (i3). Asus i5 is cheaper but lower graphic card.

    And... how much hp i5??? The i3 cost 599 and only for twenty days. Original price is 750 !!

    The dv6t would be better in your situation. Very few things are CPU limited anymore so you shouldn't notice a difference between the dual core i3 and the dual core i5.
