You've got a program that's set to auto-update, or you have a system utility like a scheduled backup that's turning on at set times. If it's doing it at random times, it's more likely an update than a utility, but you should check both.

If you have Windows set for auto updates, shut it down - you shouldn't use any auto update feature for any program anyway unless it's an A/V program updating definitions. Anything else you should do manually - never let some company think it knows better than you what belongs on your system.

You can check you System Event logs to narrow down the culprit:

    1. Open your Control Panel, click on System, then click on Performance (left side bottom of the column).
    2. Click on Problem Reports and Solutions, then View Problem History. Check the logs to see if it's a problem rather than a program updating.
    3. Go back to Problem Reports and Solutions, and click on Advanced Tools, then on View Performance Details in the Event Log. This will open your Event Viewer.
    4. Open out the Windows Logs folder, and click on Application. This will show you all events concerning applications, and show you which application and the time the event occurred. Look for the times your system woke up, and you should be able to figure out which program/s are causing the wakeup. Check the other logs too in order to rule out any other possibilities.

I had this problem when I got my HDX 16t a month ago. Someone else here advised that it was the program guide (part of Media Center) that was going out for an update every few nights or so. I disabled that and haven't had the problem since.
