Is there a way to adjust processing speed on the fly. I know my DV6000t slows down when on battery, but I can't find an option in Vista or HP power settings to throttle the speed in general. Thanks

    Use Notebook Hardware Control.

It has the option to throttle the processor.

Not sure if it'll work on Vista right now, though.

All you need to do is go into the Windows Mobility Center, do a search for it on your notebook if you can't find it.

Then select High performance instead of Power Saver or Balanced.

Having your processor run at full speed while on battery power will kill your battery life so I don't recommend doing it unless needed.

Found out that you can also click on the battery meter in the system tray to change power options. Thanks
