I have a hp pavilion dv8t. Im sure this has been brought up in these forums before but i can't find any posts about it. My volume/bass/treble bars keep going off without me touching them, it really interrupts my work. It's even doing it right now!!!!! However i am not computer minded, i know absolutely NOTHING about computers. Could someone please tell me how to change the settings so that they're less sensitive, or turned off, or something??? It's driving me nuts

Press win+R, type in "mmsys.cpl" without quotes, click speakers under the playback tab, press properties, enhancements, then check/uncheck bass boost as desired, apply, ok.
