I just got back from Best Buy to check out the laptops in person before I buy online. I absolutally hate the HP's touchpad. My finger seems to stick and it feels slugish. All the other laptops, like 30 of um had a better surface. What do you guys think about your touchpads on your HP laptops?

Yeah, I agree it's too "oily" (the only word I think that fits). I liked the touchpad texture on the old dv5000 series but they were too small. The best solution I found is to just use a wireless mouse.

Touch pad is great! You need to work on it at least couple hours to have it working great. When laptop is new it's not that good, but after couple hours it becomes great. It becomes polished by your fingers and becomes really good!

I think the touchpad is the worst on notebook I have ever used. The scrolling is imprecise and the general mousework is sketchy. You find yourself grabbing the wireless mouse, ALOT.
