    Does anyone know if the "pop" noise can be disabled on the new touch-sensitive volume controls that come with the V3000 & V6000?

    There's been BIOS updates to the dv9000 that support that, I think.

    Granted, that's not your computer, but with those updates, I'm sure HP will be releasing new BIOS for the other dv lines, as well as the v lines sometime soon.

    Ok thanks, I was looking at a V6000 yesterday but couldn't figure out how or if the pop can be disabled.

    It seems kind of counter-intuitive that the buttons still make that loud "pop" even when the audio is muted...
