I don't know if I am doing it wrong, but I can't assign my left and right corners on the touchpad to back/forward for my browser.

    There are only 5 choices
    1. None
    2. Short Cut Menu
    3. Auto Scroll
    4. Easy Launcher
    5. Easy Capture

I don't see a custom selection i.e. show deskstop, back, forward, close, etc...

I'm using a HP DV2500t on Windows Vista. Thanks for any tips.

D you have: Control Panel => mouse => (tab for whatever HP uses for the touchpad software) => touchpad => settings => tapping => tap zones

Then enable tap zones and you have a heap of options for top right/left and bottom right/left. Browser back/forward are just a few. I don't have an HP DV series, but I did once and remember using the settings clearly.
