I have an old HP L2005CM that I use for back up or when I need to run errands on a second character for Eve Online. Anyway, tapping the touchpad for left clicking won't respond all of a sudden and when I reboot the computer a loud beeping sound that just won't stop occurs. It happened a couple of times last year, but now it's happening more frequently. Is there a way to fix this on my own or will I have to get HP to fix it? How do I even diagnose the problem and what would HP do if they can't duplicate the problem?

Sorry if this issue has been raised before, but I didn't know what terms to use to do a search on this problem so I'm hoping someone can just give me a link if it has, thanks.
