I am soon leaving U.S so I can't send the laptop for repair.

Did anyone ever look inside of dv2000t?
Is there any way that I can put a pad under the left touchpad button to prop it up?

Right now I have to press hard or way to the right to make the click :(

either use a external usb mouse,
or change the mouse button to left-handed orientation, this way, the right button will be the "left-click", while the non-working left button becomes "right-click".
And whenever you need a "right-click", just press the keyboard button "context sensitive menu button" (the one between "alt" and "ctrl")

and for long term, better send it in if you are still in warranty, if not, I think you can fix it yourself as long as you have the part ready.
