Why do you want to go with DDR333 when your laptop supports DDR400? For few bucks more you could get OCZ DDR400 CAS2.5 ram which improves performance as much as 15%.

Anyways, but that memory (DDR333)should not have any problems with v5000z.

but i heard it only reads as CAS 3 for DDR400 no matter if your latency is 2.5. Correct me if im wrong. :)

With certain types of memory, yes (cruical I think).
If you get the one Chinna is recommending, you should get 2.5 CAS: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=36730

No, that is wrong information. Many people who bought Corsair DDR400 which is listed as CAS 2.5, assumed that is the case. But when SPD timings are verified( and verified with Corsair too) it is actually CAS 3 at DDR400 speeds.

But OCZ is has correct timings CAS 2.5 at DDR400 speeds, and HP Turion based laptops are just taking timings from SPD table and it is already proven by few members. Check my review and it has snapshot also with OCZ RAM.
