This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Trouble Downloading Software

    I just purchased an HP Pavillion dv6253cl. I also bought a Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 6000... when I tried to load the software for the mouse, the software alerted me to an update I needed to download from the Microsoft website... when I try to download the required file, I keep getting an error page... called Microsoft and HP and neither could figure out the problem... the site is http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouseandkeyboard/Download.mspx

    Has anyone else tried to use a wireless mouse with Vista, or encountered this problem? Please advise.
