    Hey all :)

I have just purchased a dv7-10003tx (New Zealand model), and did a complete format and reinstall with Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit edition. I have got everything up and running nicely now, except for the fingerprint reader and tv tuner.

I downloaded the drivers from the 64 bit page on the hp site for this model, but for some strange reason the installers just stop mid-install. For example, I think the validity sensor installer installs the driver, but then it tells me it is configuring the software, and then just stops dead and nothing happens. The same thing happens when I try to install the tv tuner driver. The installer comes up telling me it is extracting the files and then it disappears and nothing further happens.

If I then go to the swsetup directory that was created, and try to run the setup files there, they just do nothing again. Is it possible that there is something about 64 bit Vista that is not allowing these programs to run? I have tried installing the 32 bit versions but the same thing happens. I have no problem with anything else, but these drivers (and some of the other HP drivers) have been troublesome.

Any suggestions would be very gratefully received... as I want to play with my cool toys! :)
