Ok here's the story. My girlfriends dv9000 (AMD) had her left hinge break. I repaired it, replaced the front and back monitor panels and a new hinge kit. Everything is/was fine and dandy on this repair.

However, Shortly after this the wireless switch stays orange. Her wireless doesn't work and the switch's toggle has no effect. I took it apart and checked the wires for the antannae (behind the monitors panel) and found no problems, everything connected properly. Any ideas? The wireless card in the ram door has everything hooked up correctly too.

are you sure the wires are connected right on the wifi card because i know there are three wires only 2 are used unless she has blue tooth
similar thing happen to me when a hinge breaks you have to discount the wires and put them back on. and you have to make sure the wires are on right and in the right order
also are these new wires are the old ones? because usually you get new wires and its possible something is not on right or even causing a short
