Use DVD-R or DVD+R, re-writable discs are not supported by the recovery software.

Yes +RW's are not supported. Im sure it says it on the recovery disc creator screen,

I recommend getting DVD+R's as some dvd drives wont burn DVD-R's properly. Me and several people had this issue with -R's

I don't know about that one... it says on the starting screen, 10 CD, or 2 DVD+R's and 1 dual DVD CD's

Why would it it say 10 CD's as those are +RW's?

Retry it a couple times with another blank CD as when I did mine this morning, it rejected the first two CD's even though they were blank, (I checked them on my desktop) and finally started working. These were DVD+R's CD's too.

Yeah, CD's are available in write once(CD-R) format as well as rewritable(CDRW) format. There might be older versions of the software which might support RW media but from what I can tell current versions(from the past year or so) only support write once media(CD or DVD).

The likely reason it doesnt support +RW's is because it is a boot disk and you can only create one set. So non-rewritables are highly recommended. Less drives can read RW's too
