I don't plan on really updating soon, but I would like to mod my DV6000t in the future. I was hoping to add some of Intels Turbo Memory to a 2GHZ DV6000T with 2gb of RAM.
I bought it in Jan and it is running Windows XP -MCE. Is it possible to add 2gb of Turbo memory. And is it really worth it? (can you tell a difference).

Also, I know there is some large SSD drives available on the internet, but they cost $500 and up (I think for a 160gb model). Has anyone experimented with those in there HP DV series?

yeah, after searching around it shows only 1gb available and the anandtech article convinced me it wasn't a big difference

Anyone try with the Solid State Drives in an HP yet though?

160Gb SSD? Wow!!! Im gonna bet you meant 16Gb ssd. Feel free to take a look at my articles in my sig block. Just yell if you have any questions.

As for compatability, there shouldnt be a problem. Simply pull one out and throw another in. I might give HP a call just to confirm they havent got any strange issues that might cause compatability issues.
