Just a thought. Has anyone else noticed that their typing speed with the Envy 14 is lower than when using other non-chiclet notebook keyboards?

Hmm. I have worse accuracy typing on this keyboard, but it feels much more comfortable.

I have mixed feelings. I feel I'm able to type on other laptops with much greater speed. I'm almost tempted to take my heavier Asus to class so I can type notes much faster.

Well, I do type a lot faster on this keyboard. Maybe that's why I seem to be making more mistakes

Yea I definitely type less accurately and slower. This is my first island style keyboard so I'm not used to the greater distance I need to extend my fingers to click the buttons. I figure with more use I will be able to reteach my muscles so I click the keys I want.

Mine is definitely no slower. I have to note though, that I am prety good at typing and keyboards make little difference to me in this respect.

My first month or so with the envy left me disappointed with the keyboard. After said month, I adjusted to how shallow they keys were and type just find on the keyboard now.

Ohh eck! Months ago I popped into PC World to have a quick feel (Cor) of all the laptop keyboards as I do a lot of typing and the fastest 'seemed' to be the Envy 13... Instant sale.

I now have an ENvy 14 on the way so I hope it's just as good as the 13!?
