I've got a tx1000 notebook with nVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 ( PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0244&SUBSYS_30BF103C ) graphics card. I have updated the graphics drivers from the factory-installed one (7.15.10.9729 -- which is 97.29) to the newest compatible one from www.laptopvideo2go.com (7.15.11.7766 -- which is 177.66). Updating went smoothly, and everything is working properly except now whenever UAC is triggered, there is a 5-second delay with a black screen before UAC dialog box appears and another 5-second delay after I press "Continue". Also, there is a 15-20 second delay with black screen each time the computer is restarted before.

Does anybody know a cure for this problem other than rolling back to the old driver?

    Thanks a lot :)

well, since nobody replied, i just did a system restore and reverted the machine back to the state it was in before updating the driver. now the UAC and startup delays are gone...
