My notebook Compaq R3000T I ordered online from Staples.com arrived. From the box, it looks like it was made and/or assembled in China. It was Fedex from Alaska to my city.

The UPC sticker was covered by the Fedex Shipping label. I tried carefully removing the shipping label but I can't get it all out. I will still send in what I can but I wonder if anyone else had a problem like this. Would HP use this as an excuse not to honor my rebate?

if you have a digicam maybe take a picture of the box to prove your troubles with removing the upc, but i seriously doubt there'll be any contention on that...just get it in on time!
