Hi guys, 1st post here. I am portuguese and my girlfriend is currently in New York and she´s staying in the Hotel Pennsylvania.

I asked her to buy me an Envy 14. She called me today she hasn´t found any shop (apart from suspicious indian shops) that sells notebooks.

She's only staying until Friday so I would REALLY appreciate if any of you could give me a proper and reliable HP retailer in New York, if possible near Hotel Pennsylvania. I have googled it, I really have, but couldn´t find any shopping mall or anything.

    Thanks in advance!

Btw, is Hp's warranty international? Or do you have to pay for it?

I'm unsure how international it is.

I think it is for 1 year and international but your mileage may vary.

if the computer has global warranty attached to it, it will work in portugal assuming HP has a presence in portugal.

    (they apparently do)

I'm trying to figure out if my computer has a global warranty attached to it (not sure yet)

    According to this

( Global Warranty and FAQs - HP Customer Care (United States - English),

the global warranty is standard. And yes HP has presence in Portugal, but the thing is that the Envy they sell is only the Envy 14-1040ep. So I'm not sure if the global warranty would apply if my girlfriend buys a different model (which she will.. )

in other words, envy 14 isn't under global warranty but standard warranty (probably business comps get the global warranty or something, or you have to pay more for the global warranty)
