I just received my ENVY 15 and managed to get lucky and avoid any dents, although the floor model I looked at before had them. THe keyboard does not flex, although it is one of the worst I have ever typed on. Also, the beats audio button does not recognize a key press every time.

Anyway, my USB 3.0 will read my flash drive, but when I plug in my phone it gives me an error saying that the driver was not successfully installed. I tried the USB 2.0 port and it worked just fine.

Is this a known issue or do I have a defective model?

I like a lot of things about this laptop and I am willing to look past the orange issue, so I hope that there is a simple software fix.

    Thank you all in advance.

When I had a notebook with USB 3.0 ports (a Clevo), it wouldn't recognize my iPhone. Actually that's not entirely true: It recognized it, but right after iTunes launched, it promptly froze, requiring me to do a factory reset on the phone. I had no issues when using the USB 2.0 or eSATA/USB combo port.

My Envy 15 reads my Samsung Galaxy S2 fine. I figure it shouldn't have an issue reading a Galaxy S.

It works in,the 2.0 & 3.0? I have never had a problem with any other laptop, so it must be defective. I dodged some of the worse problems so I dont know if I should deal with this or return it and have the chance of the next one having a dent or something.
