I have an hp dv6t quad editions and am trying to install windows 8 on a separate partition but, in the boot menu there is no option for USB boot. Can anybody help me, because I have been hunting the Internet for answers and can't find any. Thanks

Hit Esc on POST, then you can look at which F-key is corresponding to the boot menu. You can then go into the boot menu to select boot from USB from that screen. I found that the USB 3.0 ports have trouble recognizing the device at boot menu, so use a USB 2.0 port instead.
