Hello everyone,
About a week and a half ago, I purchased a Hp spectre x360 15" with model number CH011DX from Best Buy.
I used the USB port yesterday for the first time. It was a tight fit but it connected and worked just fine. However, upon pulling out the USB, i really had to FORCE it out. Now it has been a long time since i have bought a new laptop so i am wondering if maybe current generation laptops are being made with tighter fit usb ports or what.
I pulled out the USB and was able to. I tried a few times of taking it out and back in to see if it would loosen at all. Each time, it made me worried that the tight fit would eventually crack something internally over time after many uses of using a usb port that tight.
Is it just because it is new and it needs some time to adjust to my usb cables being plugged in? Or is it possible this is a defect?
Like i said, i am able to plug it in. Secure but very tight. It's the taking it out method where i really have to wiggle it around to make it come out.
I really do not want to go through the process of bringing it to Best Buy or sending it off to HP or anything. But if this is a defect, then I will.
Should i give it more time to adjust?
Thanks.

at first on my spectre x360 15-ch032 the usb-port (usb-a and not the usb-c-ports) was tight too, but after 20-30 times using it it was okay, but it was never that tight that i thought i will break the port.
USB Port on new HP Spectre is really tight
