I'm trying to plug my other mouse in (mx510) to use, but the slot won't let me plug it in or something, it just wont go in and i'm afraid im going to break it if I try any harder.

Are u sure that ur plugging it the right way? Sometimes if u flip the end 180* it works. Also, make sure that the area around the usb hole is clear so that it doesnt prevent the mouse from going in all the way. Sometimes usb ports close together with multiple items plugged it can cause that problem.

Besides those 2, I cant think of any reason that a usb plug should not enter a usb port, unless ur case got damaged somehow, but u wouldve mentioned any physical damage to the computer.

My dv2000t was the exact same way. They are now "broken in" and they work like a charm!

Yes, these USB ports seem to need some break in. I found out the hard way when I tried to pull my mouse USB receiver :(.
