For some reason, i'm unable to control the brightness (FN F9/F10) on my HP 8710W running Vista 64 bit. Especially when i unplug the power, the screen gets darker and i'm not able to brighten it. Is there away like the volume buttom on the quicklaunch where you can control the brightness directly instead of through the quicklaunch buttons? I tried increasing the brightness level in the graphic card settings but that didn't work.
