Recently, I purchased a dv5-1150us. I attempted to do a clean install of Vista Ultimate on it. Surprisingly, there have been several issues.

When ever I install the video driver, it blows up during installation. I tried downloading a later version from the HP web site, but that blows up, too. After the failed installation, Vista keeps blowing up until I disable or remove the drivers. I tried installing the driver in safe mode. This time it completes properly but still crash after reboot.

If I don't install the video drivers, I am able to get into the computer, but then ie keep crashing with a "internet explorer has stopped working" message.

Has anyone successfully install vista? I am installing Vista ultimate x64 over Vista Home Premium x64. I find it weird that I am having so many problems.
