Sorry for this newbie question but I am slightly "stumped'.
Okay.... I have never had a dvd drive that allows me to burn discs. I do now on my dv9000t.
In the past when I burn CDs all I have to do is select the file I want to burn and hit copy and I am led thru the process......as I can do now on the new laptop with cds....
But if I want to burn a dvd it looks like I need to "engage" a software program like Sonic... let that capture the image or data and then burn the dvd thru that program(or one like it)...does this make sense?
Otherwise when I try and burn a dvd like I would a cd I get an error message that says :
E: is not accessible. Incorrect Function

If you are on XP or Vista Basic, you need to open a third-party program to burn DVDs, as they only have native CD burning tools (which were never that great anyway).
I would go in to the program and reset the source for "C" drive (or wherever your specific file is located). Sounds like it is looking for a drive that is not connected. -
I am using XP media.....so that makes sense then why I am getting the error message.
