    my laptop spec is :
    Model : HP pav. dv3
    Processor : Intel core i3
    OS : Win 7 32 bit
    ram : 3 gb

after 2 years, its became overheat if using graphic like game and video, then the laptop just shut down. I read about undervolting can help keep temperature cool. But when I install rm clock software, there's no menu "advanced CPU settings". Anyone can help me please?

Get the manual for your laptop (google for it), open it up, re-paste the CPU, clean all the dust from the fan and it should be cooler.

try throttlestop, but the proper way to reduce heat is dust and repaste as needed. Undervolt is not going to shred much heat away.
