Has anyone one undervolted the dv4000 with the Pentium M Processor 740 1.73 GHz Intel Centrino?
Links on doing this?
Also is there any advantage in doing this?
Like how much more battery time would I gain?
Performance drops?
Thanks in a advance!

no performance drop; less heat, a little bit more battery life

Sounds great, now how do I do it and what program do I need?

You can either use RM Clock or Notebook Hardware Control, whichever seems easier to you, I prefer RM since it is pretty compact and easy to use once you understand how it works. Along with these I would suggest using Prime 95 to test for stability. The default VID for your cpu can be found in Intels technical documents or you can just use CPU-Z which should be able to list the voltages for the different multipliers. Other than this it is just a matter of seeing how low you can go with the VID's without affecting stability. Once you have the right undervoltage, you can se RM/NHC to run at startup so the settings are applied automatically.
