Hi, I just bought a laptop yesterday from http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?sku_id=0665000FS10086133&logon=&langid=EN. However, on the Compaq site I don't see any download for SATA driver available. Does Compaq V6317's (AMD processors) have the same SATA issues as the HP Intels?

Also, I am currently formatting my C: right now into NTFS in the XP installation menu. However, I don't see anywhere that mentions anything about Quickplay (there's another partition that serves as the Recovery thing for HP/Compaq, but I recall from other threads that that has nothing to do with Quickplay). What am I supposed to do? And after I finish installing XP, do I have to install all those drivers? How much from MDesigner's guide is different for Compaqs?

    Thanks so much!!
