So I was browsing HP's website and came across this:

HP ENVY 15t Slim Quad Laptop Best Value | HP® Official Store

It seems to be a really nice laptop for a great price. I mean, a quad i7, FHD screen, backlit, thin-ish, light, 5.5 hours of battery, AND a 4GB 850m. Am I missing something here? (I do notice the arrow keys suck...can't have it all, I guess...)

After a promo code, the price came out to $824 for this beauty. Anyone have any experience with it?

I've been looking at that one, too, so will be curious to hear what others have to say.

$724 if you use Coupon AUGUST175

You can try using this coupon for more savings. I think it's a 20% off promo: PCXP14

Last I checked and some users seemed to confirm in http://forum.notebookreview.com/hp-envy-hdx/750784-envy-15-kxxx-envy-15-qxxx-envy-17-kxxx-notebooks-2014-a-15.html, the promo codes seems to be working.

I don't have any experience with this model exactly. I, myself, just returned an ENVY 15t-k000 yesterday because of the overall quality of the product. It just wasn't satisfactory and if you wanted to read more about it, you can browse that thread I linked just earlier. However, the laptop model in question does seem like a very good deal. The specs are quite good but the screen quality as well as the overall build quality of the computer may or may not be satisfactory to your standards. Fill us in if you end up purchasing it!

See, the sneaky thing they did was make an automatic 50 buck rebate, making the $899 laptop less. And there's no way to upgrade the laptop to meet the requirements. How did you do it?

Not the same model. I'd be interested to see if the screen is the same because that'd be my only concern about this laptop.

I did find the page about the "Great deal" but I haven't found any other info on this laptop...

The model's the same. There's just no touchscreen. The model number is K0B71AV, which points to 15t-q100.

I wasn't able to get the AUGUST175 promo to work either. Is it a good deal at $825? I can wait a bit before making a purchase, but if this is a good enough deal that it should be jumped on, I may just go ahead and pull the trigger.

I was looking at it...the august promo works until tomorrow, so if you're gonna go for it, I'd wait until tomorrow and see if the $50 instant rebate is gone. Maybe you could even call HP and see if they can work you a deal. I'm planning on waiting for Broadwell to get a laptop but if I wasn't this would be at my house by now :D

Hm...the touchscreen one has an AC WiFi card but this one has just an N card...I'm really curious now if the screen is the same.
