    I purchased a dv7t w/ Intel coreduo 2.6. Plenty Ram etc.

Nice machine but fan constantly runs and gets hot/noisy.

Is there a lot going on in background? Even when not in use it seems as though it's real busy. Is there a way to search for processes and eliminate things I do not need. If so any ideas on what such processes may be and what to unload.

    Many thx!
