Upcoming HP Envy 17 3D with Ivy Bridge?

Anyone have any info on the refresh for the HP envy 17 inch model. Since the other HP laptops have received their refresh and other gaming laptops such as dell, safer, Samsung, etc where is the envy refresh. Can anyone post any related documents or specs

WOW this title is so misleading. I was like "Oh sh@# they announced them already". You got my hopes up only to see them go down the drain...

well, theyre already confirmed, since "envy ##-4000" series have leaked in a document on hp's website (which is currently not present anymore), but no specs.

ivy bridge cpu & intel 7-chipsets should be quite firm, but the gpu is a question mark, since the new ivy bridge dv-series surprisingly got nvidia 600m gpus. i personally would like to keep having ati/amd inside the envy 17 3d, so if they introduce nvidia 600m gpus, i hope they offer at least an alternative model with an ati/amd 78#0m (or better )

 

This is the laptop I've been holding out for... Hopefully it won't be too long now.

Well Amazon and a few others are selling a case for the "HP Envy 17-4070US". Wouldn't that be the Ivy version as the Sandy was a 3070?

HP will be applying Ivy Bridge as a minor refresh to the ENVY 17-3XXX family.

The marketing department has certainly made the pricing fun.
