Hi all. I have just upgraded my 8710w processor from T7300 to T9300. All the procedure took about 15 minutes as the processor located just behind the keyboard and it did not took long to remove all the heatsinks. I have used Arctic Silver 5 paste.
The performance of the laptop grew drastically. Now all the soft opens in a moment. Graphics improved a lot too.

    Highly recommended upgrade.

I will update with the 3DMark and PCMark soon to compare.

    Any questions welcome!

What were the 3dmark tests before you upgraded? I don't expect much of a change with 3dmark though, more so on the pcmark05.

The temperature reading for the T7300 was at least 10-12C more.

In stress T9300 does not come higher than 61C.

Just to add my experience with the T9300 and T5450 in terms of temperature.

At idle the T5450 was at 46 C, while the T9300 stayed at 33 C.

Wouldn't this do the same thing. Because I went from a T7500 to the T9300 and used a media library service page to get over it.
