This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    There is little benefit to upgrading your CPU. You have to pay $400 for the upgrade which will only benefit you if you do things like audio or video encoding. You will have no warranty after you do it. There is no reason you can't upgrade the hard drives. Check out the service manual on HP's site. It will explain the procedure.
