Alright, I've just installed vista home premium on my dv6000 which was bought just before vista was released, so I had XP on it.

I didnt use the upgrade utility disc, I just used the vista CD to upgrade from XP without losing my data.

Well, now I have problems with my sound. I tried like 5 different conexand HD audio drivers, and all have issues. Its either one of these two:

-Sound doesnt work at all and the mute button (near the other quickplay buttons) is always orange (its always on mute) even when I press it.

    or

-Sound works, but I cant mute, or change the volume.

PLEASE HELP!! I've restarted like 2451 times to install/uninstall drivers, and it's still not working.

Another issue: I know there's no more webcam application from HP, and I tried using my webcam from msn messenger, but is it normal that in the camera options, it only works like 5 seconds then the blue light near the camera shuts down and the camera doesnt work anymore?

Also, I had a lot of camera pictures in XP, I used to find them by cliking on the camera application. WHERE ARE THEY NOW??!!

Can I just roll back from vista to XP??

    PLEASE HELP!!

You need to get older HD Audio driver for Vista. Same thing happened. Take the previous HD Audio driver.

Go to HP's official drivers and software section, put your model and get a list of drivers. Choose the previous driver for HD Audio (open the link "version"). I have had same problem. Hope this will help you.
