I've got the DV6-3100SA, here is the service guide: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02659236.pdf

This is the laptop is what I use for light gaming/university/work - so it's not that important to me as I have a more poweful HP laptop too, but I really like the DV6 design/weight and screen size - especially now I've given it a finger print sensor, baclkit keyboard and changed the red case to a really nice alminium looking one. But I have a few questions:

-Do the upgrades require me to get a 90W charger (Sorry if this sounds stupid, I've only ever upgraded desktops)
-Would a 1920x1080 screen work with this laptop (the one which others have put into the DV6T?), if not would other higher resolution moniters work - I've linked one I was looking at below.
-Would I need new cables/would my current ones work/would the ones supplied with the new LCD work?
-If I did upgrade the screen, would I need to worry about issues with cooling, would it create more heat or would it cause problems with my laptop?
-If you have a DV6 what temps do you get idle/gaming?

    I've managed to:
-Upgrade to a blacklit keyboard which it didn't ship with (for £10 including shipping)
-Swap the red top plastic/chassis for the silver/metal looking case (it feels so much sturdier, looks better and for some odd reason my temps have dropped by about 4C)
    - Install a finger print reader, as the new case has the fitting for one. (taken out for now)
^ None of these have presented a problem and I'm actually amazed that I could do all of this with a lower end model, kudos to HP for using the same MOBO.

    However,
    1) The main thing is using the screen from the DV6T - the motherboard has the slot for a touchscreen (I'm not interested in the touch screen functionality, but I wondered if the DV6T screen would fit in this laptop - and if the GPU would support the resolution. Here is the part (pretty cheap): LG PHILIPS LP156WF1(TL)(A1) LCD SCREEN 15.6" FHD COMPATIBLE | eBay Would this part work in my laptop? Does anyone know if it would just fit right in, it has the same fittings by the looks of things and superficially the DV6T looks the same? Would the resolution be supported? Is there an increase in power consumption?

    2) I wanted to upgrade to any of the higher spec processors, but I don't feel like the Phenom range is worth it. I'd be moving from a 25W to a 35W CPU, which might increase temps. Also i've got a 2.2Ghz Athlon Dual Core, so maybe the a 2.6Ghz Turion would be a good idea? I'm finding the price of £40 for the upgrade quite irresistible, but heat issues that may arise are holding me back - my fans are clean, bios updated and i'm maxing at 66C at the moment.

So yeh, my main question is if I can use that DV6T screen in my DV6 3100SA, both are 15.6" laptops (and look the same, with a very similar/if not the same mobo layout) but it's the resolution that i'm worried about?

(As a side note the AMD switchable graphics has been quite strange for the past few days, it only lets me switch some of the time, the cause I've not been able to find?)

By the way - would I need to get a 90W charger, because of:
    Backlit keyboard,
    Finger print reader,
    and potentially a new screen?

    Thank you very much everyone!
