    If your laptop came with only one hdd, then you will have to order an HDD bracket from HP for the second hard drive.
    I would take the Hitachi. I think I read somewhere it was faster.

    he's right. i asked hp about it and the bracket will cost 39 from them.

    Now theres an interesting proposition I just automatically assumed 7200rpm but if I keep all my programs on the 7200 I could get a 5400 for data and multimedia (pictures and whatnot). Does that sound like the best way to go about it? Thanks for the help!
