    HP support and drivers , pdf service manual will show all CPU's running with this build,the latest bios and drivers are there too, that HP distributes.

    Yes but as someone here on the forums should know, OEM's don't know all the processors that will work in their units.

    Going to wait and see what other people who have some experience with this series chime in with!

    Current HP builds use an insyde bios with a HP security key,HP inputs the CPU microcode for CPU's that work with each build they make in the initial BIOS and its updates-thru this HP security Key and what CPUS will work in HP Builds are in pdf service manual for these builds-more than one per group. If a person installs a cpu outside of the pdf service manual, the computer will not boot as the cpu microcode is not in the bios !
